The 44th annual “International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium - IGARSS 2024” of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) will be hosted in Athens, Greece, for the first time in its history, at the International Conference Centre of the Megaron Athens Concert Hall.
We invite all scientists, professionals and students worldwide, in the field of Geoscience and Remote Sensing to attend this exciting event. Make sure to mark your calendars and join us for IGARSS 2024 in Athens, the oldest capital city in Europe, for a week of insightful presentations, collaborations and discoveries. IGARSS 2024, powered by IEEE GRSS, will be hosted by the National Observatory of Athens - Operational Unit “BEYOND Centre of Earth Observation Research and Satellite Remote Sensing” of Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing, with the support of the National Technical University of Athens and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas.

Το 44ο Διεθνές Επιστημονικό Συνέδριο “International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium - IGARSS 2024” του IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (#GRSS) έρχεται για πρώτη φορά στη χώρα μας από τις 7 έως τις 12 Ιουλίου του 2024, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών.
Το Συνέδριο αποτελεί θεσμό στον τομέα των Γεωεπιστημών και της Δορυφορικής Τηλεπισκόπησης, ενώ πρόκειται για την κορυφαία συνάντηση περισσοτέρων από 2.500 διακεκριμένων επιστημόνων του κλάδου παγκοσμίως, συμβάλλοντας στην ανταλλαγή απόψεων και εμπειριών και στην εκπαίδευση των νεότερων επιστημόνων, ανοίγοντας νέες προοπτικές στην ερευνητική ανάπτυξη και τις επενδύσεις στον κλάδο.
Για το 44ο IGARSS 2024 στην Αθήνα, τις δυνάμεις τους ενώνουν: H Επιχειρησιακή Μονάδα «Κέντρο Ερευνών Παρατήρησης της Γης & Δορυφορικής Τηλεπισκόπησης BEYOND» του Ινστιτούτου Αστρονομίας, Αστροφυσικής και Δορυφορικής Τηλεπισκόπησης του Εθνικού Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών, το Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο καθώς και το Ίδρυμα Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας.
