Copernicus Masters participation
IAASARS/NOA participated in the Best Service Challenge of the Copernicus-masters competition with the operational EO based fire management service, which was developed in the framework of the BEYOND project. The submitted service is entitled “FireHub: A Space Based Fire Management Hub “, and consists of: the real-time fire detection and monitoring application, the large scale Burnt Scar Mapping during and after wildfires, and the fire smoke dispersion forecasting tool. 8th GEO European Project Workshop - SPACE AND SECURITY CONFERENCE
BEYOND participated the 8th GEO European Project Workshop, on 12&13 June 2014, as also the SPACE & SECURITY CONFERENCE on 19&20 June 2014. The Space and Security Conference was co-organised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the National Observatory, the University of Athens, the Greek Ministry of Defence and the European Commission under the auspices of the Hellenic Presidency of the EU.
