Ms. Christina Psychogyiou obtained her diploma in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic school of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) in December 2011. She followed the master’s program “Geomechanics, Civil engineering and Risks” supported by Universite Joseph Fourier in cooperation with Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble (France) and she received the title of MSc graduate in July 2013. During her studies, Christina has focused on Geomechanics and Geotechnical structures’ behavior projects studying numerical and experimental models. Since February 2014, she works as a research specialist of the EU funded program BEYOND “Building a Centre of Excellence for Earth Observation based monitoring of Natural Disasters in south-eastern Europe” at the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of National Observatory of Athens (NOA).
Her research focuses on the behavior of Geotechnical Structures under cyclic loading, Soil improvement, Engineering Seismology, Ground Subsidence, Landslides, Experimental Geomechanics, Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique, Remote Sensing applications.
