iSPEX - Measuring air pollution with your smartphone
iSPEX-EU is the first Europe-wide citizen campaign of the iSPEX project. iSPEX-EU aims to form a network of thousands of people all over Europe that perform iSPEX measurements and provide information at locations and times that are not covered by current air pollution monitoring efforts – and we need your help! By joining iSPEX-EU you can be part of a major project to help understand our atmosphere and make an important scientific contribution!
Athens is one of the cities that participate in the iSPEX-EU 2015. We welcome you to join its local campaign and measure Athens skies from 1 September to 15 October!
- Local campaign activities
The Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry Group (APCG) at the National Observatory of Athens is leading the local campaign activities, working closely with the iSPEX team at Leiden University in the Netherlands. The iSPEX-EU local campaign is closely interlinked with activities of the Building a Centre of Excellence for Earth Observation based monitoring of Natural Disasters in south-eastern Europe (BEYOND).
