Aikaterini Karagiannopoulou was born in 1993 in Volos, Greece. She received her B.Sc. degree from the department of Geography in 2015 and her M.Sc. in 2017, in field of Geoinformatics of the Department of Applied Geography and Spatial Planning, both from Harokopio University.
Since December 2017, she is occupied by the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (National Observatory of Athens), on provision of geospatial information, on supporting emergency management activities.
Risk assessment and mapping using GIS and Remote Sensing applications, Hyperspectral/Multispectral imaging, using image processing techniques in land use/land cover detection and mineral exploration on terrestrial environment.
